At HIBI, education is not boxed to merely meet selfish knowledge acquisition and worldly strings attached to it. Here, we labour so that education imparted will be transformative and transiting, thus creating a movement of setting the captives free.
HIBI, which was started in 1984 under the leadership of Rev. Mathew Oommen and his wife Mrs. Mariamma Mathew in a rented facility with very few students, has flourished to become one of the well-known theological institutions in North India, with over hundreds of graduates, committedly serving across the country.
At HIBI, we promote a holistic approach to theological education which integrates the knowledge acquired to character building, spiritual sanctity and social responsibility, resulting in individuals with strong leadership qualities.
Students can choose from a vast array of diverse programmes, like C.Th, DiP.th, B.Th, and MDiv, where students learn from knowledgeable professors and from one another in a caring and loving environment, aided by an excellent library with more than five thousand books and plenty of e-resources.
We are accredited by International Association for Theological Accreditation [IATA]. The tuition fees are kept reasonable with several possibilities of scholarships as well.

I am happy to announce that HIBI has introduced a new initiative to launch the Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) program in the Hindi language with an aim to equip leaders for North India in their vernacular and to train with foresight, a generation that is truly sold out for the mission of God breaking language barriers, and presenting the Gospel in an Indian cup.
