Mission

HIBI has been established to fulfill the Great Commission by equipping the body of Christ to reach the unreached and to plant churches.

Our History

HIBI is the ministry training wing of The Full Gospel Church of God (FGC) and Impact Mission to the Nations (IMN) in North India.

Started by Rev. Mathew Oommen and his family in a small room, but with a big vision in 1984 to train young missionaries and church planters for northern India, it has been successfully operating for over the past 40 Years! It is the oldest Bible college operating in Delhi since 1982!

Joined shortly after by Rev. P.K. Samkutty in 1986, the duo has worked together ever since to build and grow the ministry, and till date, there have been 1000+ graduates who are now serving the Lord in various parts of the world.

This move of God through HIBI in guidance with IMN and FGC has resulted in active church planting across 14 states in India, and missionary work in Nepal in the past years with over 180 churches and counting. It is my pleasure and privilege to introduce Harvest India Bible Institute (HIBI) to you. HIBI is a God, Christ, Bible, Mission, Church centered, Evangelical, Charismatic and Interdenominational Institution, committed to build a distinctive education and equip young men and women for the end time harvest in order to expand the kingdom of God. I personally can think of no better Seminary in North India, where you can invest your time, energy and money, for training to become a missionary/evangelist than this institution. There is no doubt that the distinctive facilities of this unique Seminary; in general its curriculum, and its spiritual atmosphere, in particular, can transform any average person into a man or woman of God with a matured vision and unquenchable passion for souls with the compassion of Christ. Our curriculum is intended not only to train a skillful theologian but also to mold a perfect and a faithful minister of the Lord, equipped in the Word with anointing in the Holy Spirit. Once you are trained at HIBI, it will help you in the task of finding the place in God’s master plan for your life. It will endow you with leadership qualities to win souls for Christ.

Since 1984, HIBI has been a center for shaping, molding, perfecting, equipping hundreds of young lives in the Word of truth for the noble task of the Master. I have been witnessing the truth, that the men and women who come to this institution are never the same in areas of academics, spiritual vitality, ministerial zeal, interpersonal relations, character development, and leadership potentials and dividing the Holy Scriptures. As the result of God’s enduring grace, HIBI has commissioned and sent out over hundreds of graduates, who are being mightily used in God’s hands, both across the nation of India and around the globe, as dynamic preachers of the Word. They are effective leaders of various ministries, as successful pastors of the Body of Christ, and as academicians rightly teaching the Word. HIBI provides the students with a wide range of academic, spiritual and ministerial training, both in and outside the campus. On the campus, a student is living in a communal and family environment.
